A defensive mix-up saw Tonbridge fall behind before a superb 25-yard Richard Cook free-kick drew the teams level. Cook then squandered an excellent Tom Dye cross -heading wide whilst unmarked and 6 yards out.
Tonbridge dominated territory and possession but both sides defended well before two moments of controversy ruined the match. First, in the 88th minute Cook appeared to win a stone-wall penalty when tripped inside the bo.x The referee didn't give it prompting wry smiles from the opposition and OT complaints. Second, whilst booking Elliott and Dye for questioning the decision, Bradfield took a quick restart. The OT's were all out of position and the unchallenged Bradfield striker tucked it away. The referee never blew his whistle for the game to resume and it soured what was otherwise a keenly fought and evenly contested fixture.
