Players flew in from Paris, Durham and Edinburgh as a 16 strong cup team met for the Arthur Dunn semi-final replay.
KCS enjoyed the better of the first half but were comprehensively outplayed in the second. A dropped corner and tap in saw them take a 1-0 lead into half time but a sensational move in the 60th minute drew the OT's level. Colley, Lockwood and Cook combined to release JT down the right and his pin-point cross was tapped in by Shales. Simple. 1-1.
Tonbridge played a high tempo and had good possession and territory before Cook hit the bar with a free-kick and only five minutes remaining. KCS were strong definsively but, besides the goal, hadn't managed a shot on target. With the game heading for extra time the KCS winger delivered a teasing cross and the OT defender's outstretched foot tapped it past Bugge at the near post. A cruel end to a fantastic cup run.
